Dan Wilbur McKenzie 1925 ~ 2005 HEBER CITY - Our sweet husband, dad, grandpa, brother, uncle, and friend, Dan W. McKenzie, age 80, left his earthly body to return to his Heavenly Father, Friday, November 25, 2005, surrounded by his loving family in Heber City, Utah. He is finally able to walk and run and play. Dan was born March 14, 1925 in Daniel, Utah the son of Wilbur Franklin and Minnie Jeanette Nelson McKenzie. He married his sweetheart, Jeanine Remund September 1, 1948, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Dan leaves a special place in everyone's heart. He never complained and always had a smile on his face. He taught us all how to have courage and strength in all we do. What a man! He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Jeanine; four children, Dennis (Peggy), Dan (Mickie), Dixie (LaVar) Daybell, Deloy (Vickie); three sisters, Hazel Hedburg, MaryJean (Doyle) Simmons, Billie (Kent) Christensen; brother-in-law, Lloyd (Norma) Remund; 30 grand and 31 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by parents; sister, Anita O'Driscoll. Sweetheart, Dad, Pa, until we meet again, you will be in our hearts and prayers, and you will never be far from our thoughts. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 29, 2005, 11 a.m., in the Heber LDS 7th Ward, 244 East 400 South, Heber City. Friends may call Monday from 6-8 p.m. at Olpin-Hoopes Funeral Home, 288 North Main Street, Heber City, and Tuesday from 9:45-10:45 a.m. prior to the services at the LDS Church. Interment will follow in the Heber City Cemetery.
