Obituary: James R. Castillo

James R. Castillo "Wedo" Our loving husband, father, son, brother and friend was tragically taken from us. James R. Castillo "Wedo", 38, died on October 29, 2005 in West Jordan. He was born November 6, 1966, in Salt Lake City, Utah to Raul Castillo and Patsy Cobielles. James married Sherry Castillo on September 9, 2000. A devoted and loving father and husband who took great joy in being a father often painting his "Lovey's" toenails. He had a passion for NASCAR, softball, fishing and camping. He also enjoyed playing Texas Hold 'em and he was a fantasy football champion. He is survived by his wife Sherry Castillo, daughters Alicia and Marissa Mary Ann "Lovey" Castillo, stepdaughter, Monique Arguelles, mother Patsy (Guadalupe) Cobielles, and father Raul (Alicia) Castillo; sisters, Debbie (Danny) Romero, Vivian (Moises) Brambila, Irene Vazquez, Marina A. Castillo, brothers, Daniel Vigil, Chris Gutierrez, and Raul (RC) Castillo; father and mother-in-law, Joe and Angie Shigouri, James (Rosa) Weber, brothers and sister-in-law Melinda (Hans) Vang, Rena (Jed) Thomas, several nephews and nieces. He is preceded in death by Demetrios K. Flores and sister MaryAnn Laticia Castillo. Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, November 3, 2005 at St. Joseph the Worker, located at 7405 S. Redwood Road at 11:00 a.m. with viewing one-hour prior. A viewing will be held Wednesday, November 2, 2005 at 6:00 p.m. with a vigil at 7:00 p.m. at Redwood Memorial Mortuary, 6500 S. Redwood Road. In lieu of flowers, donations will be accepted at America First Credit Union under James Castillo Memorial Fund.
