Let's Get Pie-Eyed, is the topic of today's Macey's Pleasant Grove Little Theatre Class at 7 p.m. Erica Miller prepares some of her famous pies, including an Amish Apple and Chocolate Chip Cookie pie.

Monday, Nov. 7

Global Awareness week begins at Utah Valley State College. Events today are 10 a.m. Parade of International Costumes in the LAB building to the grand ballroom and international food cook-off at noon.

Museum Mondays at Thanksgiving Point, from 5-7 p.m. at the Museum of Ancient Life Lobby. Cost: $5. Special activities are offered for the whole family. Call 768-2300.

Tuesday, Nov. 8

Classic Films for Seniors, at 10 a.m. at the SCERA Center, 745 S. State, Orem. Today's feature: "Some Like It Hot," starring Marilyn Monroe, Tony Curtis and Jack Lemmon.

Global Awareness Week at Utah Valley State College, events today include hunger banquets in Grande Ballroom at 6:30 p.m.

Turkey Tuesdays at the Museum of Ancient Life, at Thanksgiving Point from 4-8 p.m. Celebrate Thanksgiving with a variety of turkey activities and games. Price included in museum ticket. Call 768-2300.

Wednesday, Nov. 9

Global Awareness Week at Utah Valley State College, events today include: 10 a.m. lecture by His Excellency Kassahun Ayele, Ambassador of Ethiopia to the United States in the Ragan Theater; 6 p.m. international service and learning project presentations from Russia, Ghana, Mexico and Guatemala.

Veterans get help from a field service officer of the Veterans of Foreign Wars from 1 to 2 p.m. at the Provo Workforce Service Center, 1550 N. Freedom Blvd.. Veterans need not be members of the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States to qualify for assistance. Free.

Thursday, Nov. 10

"Get a Kick Out of Reading," the new Provo City Library children's reading program has its "kick-off" at 4 p.m. with special guest Nelson Akwari. He will read to attending children and talk about soccer. Free.
