Honoring 'leader-servants'

RICHMOND, Va. — LDS-oriented Southern Virginia University honored Glade and Kathleen Knight with the Leader-Servant Award, the highest recognition the university in Buena Vista, Va., presents.

Brother Glade, who is chairman of the Board of Trustees of SVU, and his wife, who has organized and hosted educational conferences at the university every year since 1997, were presented with the award Oct. 30 at a stake center in Richmond, Va.

The Knights join previous honorees that include Elder Neal A. Maxwell of the Quorum of the Twelve who died in 2004; Elder Marion D. Hanks, emeritus General Authority; and Chieko Okazaki, former counselor in the Relief Society general presidency.
