Organist Richard Elliott plans recital

Richard L. Elliott, one of the three full-time organists of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir, will perform an organ recital at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 11 at the Conference Center.

The evening's repertoire will include his own arrangement of "Pictures at an Exhibition" by Modest Mussorgsky as well as "A Medley of Restoration Hymns" by Robert Cundick, "Fantasia in G" by Johannes Sebastian Bach and the Finale from "Symphony No. 6" by Louis Verne.

A native of Baltimore, Md., Brother Elliott received his early musical training at the Peabody Conservatory and went on to study organ at the Catholic University of America. He has since performed extensively as a recitalist and accompanist in the United States and Europe and appears on 15 recordings with the Tabernacle Choir and on another four as organ soloist.
