The two children highlighted here are among 31 orphans from Sumy, Ukraine, whose arrival in Salt Lake City was covered in the Oct. 23 edition of the Deseret Morning News. They are among the millions of orphaned children worldwide between the ages of 6 and 15 and are here as part of a cultural exchange and in hopes of meeting adoptive families. The group, sponsored by Save a Child Foundation, is scheduled to return to Europe on Tuesday.

Benefit concert Monday

To help some of the 20 host families defer part of any adoption costs and to promote community understanding of orphaned children, Save a Child Foundation is sponsoring a benefit concert of music and dance Monday at 7 p.m. in Kingsbury Hall on the University of Utah campus. The children participating in this year's program from Ukraine will be in attendance. Ticket prices are $10 per person, or $45 per family. Additional donations are also accepted.
