Obituary: Jo Lewis Knight

Jo Lewis Knight 04/30/27 ~ 11/04/05 Jo Lewis Knight passed away peacefully in his Mapleton home due to complications of prostate cancer November 4, 2005 surrounded by his family. Jo was born in Salt Lake City April 30, 1927 to Charles Lewis and Elsie Roberta (Dansie) Knight. He married Janette Mae Chapman August 29, 1952 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. After their marriage they lived in Salt Lake City until 1963. The family moved to Springville where they lived until 1983 after which they relocated to Mapleton. He loved raising his family here. His is survived by his wife, Janette; his sister, Bessie (Dick) Pratt; and brothers, Blaine (Diane) Knight, Rollie (Lois) Knight; his seven children, Becky (Paul) Cloward, Paul Knight, Rachael (Dana) Perrenoud, Ruth (Clint) Bybee, Berty Morgan, Peter (Willa) Knight, and Joe (Jeannette) Knight; and 23 grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 8, 2005 at 1 p.m. in the Mapleton N. Stake Center, 475 North 1600 West, Mapleton. Family and friends may call Monday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Wheeler Mortuary, 82 West 400 North, Mapleton, or at the church one hour prior to services.
