Genevieve C. Hickison 7/28/1904 ~ 11/3/2005 Genevieve passed away November 3, 2005 at the age of 101. She was born in Wadsworth, NV July 28, 1904 to Thomas W. and Jane Ellen Collins. Genevieve attended school in Idaho and later moved to Everett, WA where she met and married her husband of over 50 years, Wilfrid Hickison. Their marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Genevieve and Wilfrid had three daughters. Their oldest daughter, Barbara, married and remained in Seattle when Genevieve and Wilfrid moved the family to Salt Lake in the late 1940s. Genevieve worked for the LDS Church in the Genealogy Library Microfilm Dept. She was a lifelong member of the LDS Church and lived true and faithful all of her days. She happily fulfilled many callings. She was secure in her belief that upon her death she would be reunited with her loving husband. Genevieve was a talented pianist and organist; she enjoyed gardening, cooking, and many needle crafts. She loved animals and had many different kinds of pets over the years. She is survived by two daughters, Mitsi (Jim) Perkins, Boise, ID, and Janis (Dale) Elton, North Salt Lake, UT; 12 grandchildren, Bret Elton, Kathy Elton, Tom Sparks, Sandy Garhart, Cookie Vigil, Bill Sparks, Corry Perkins, David Perkins, Jared Perkins, Ruth Palmer, Jane Sorensen, and Bill Perkins; 30 great-grandchildren; and one great great-granddaughter. She is preceded in death by her husband, Wilfrid; and her daughter, Barbara. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 9, 2005, 12 noon at Larkin Mortuary, 260 E. South Temple, Salt Lake City, UT. There will be a viewing from 10:45-11:45 a.m. prior to the service.
