Frank William Kyriopoulos "Will Be Missed" Frank William Kyriopoulos, 61, beloved son, husband, father, and grandfather, died November 2nd of complications during heart surgery at Bethesda Naval Medical Center. Frank was born to Afton and James Kyriopoulos and raised in Salt Lake City, UT. He was actively involved in the Boy Scouts of America and became an Eagle Scout. Frank later received his Bachelor's degree from the University of Utah and Masters degrees from the American University of Beirut and Marymount University. Throughout his career, he served at various international and national posts and founded the Arabic Language Program at the Air Force Academy in 1976. He moved to Springfield, VA in 1981. A retired Air Force Officer, Frank was a senior Arabic translator for SAIC. He was also a locally renowned Elvis impersonator who once performed for President Clinton. Survivors include his wife of 39 years, Christine; mother, Afton; mother-in-law, Carolyn Gravis; two sons, Niko (wife, Melodie), Christopher (wife, Coco); grandchildren, Charlie, Phoebe, and Alexander; and sisters, Marjorie, Kathryn, Mary, Debra, Jami, and their families. Funeral, Tuesday, November 8th at St. Katherine's Greek Orthodox Church, 3149 Glen Carlyn Rd, Falls Church, VA. Visitation November 7th at Demaine Funeral Home, 5308 Backlick Rd, Springfield, VA.
