Donna Jean Lance Watson "I've had a good life" Donna Watson passed away from an age related illness November 3, 2005 with her loving family by her side. She is now with her mother and father and many other loved ones. Donna was born April 6, 1927 in Salt Lake City, to Orel L. and Melva A. Lance. She was married to her eternal companion September 21, 1951 in the Salt Lake Temple. Donna learned from an early age to be a hard worker who never asked for anything, but was always eager to give everything. This was especially true to her dear husband and family. Some of her last words were "I've had a good life...I'm worried about Dad, take care of him." Her family was the joy of her life, with no thought, she devoted her life to us and would have given her life for us. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She spent her life serving in many positions in the church. In the last four years Donna and Jack served together as temple workers and inter-city missionaries. Donna loved attending the many events that her children and grandchildren participated in. She loved the outdoors, camping in their trailer, and any type of travel. She loved to cook and took great pride in maintaining a "perfect" home. We know she is happy, but we will miss her. Survived by her husband, Jack; brother, Lee (Jean) Lance, Sandy; son, John (Hope) Watson, Layton; daughters, Judy (Ken) Hortin, West Jordan, Janie (Craig) Sessions, Murray; 10 grandchildren; and one great-grand-daughter. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 8, 2005, 11 a.m., Little Cottonwood Stake Center, 6180 So. Glenoaks St. (855 E.), Murray. Friends may call Monday from 6-8 p.m. at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 So. State St., Murray and from 9:45-10:45 a.m. at the church prior to the services. Interment, Murray City Cemetery.
