Patricia Jean Bourne Garrett Patty Our Beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Sister, and Friend, Patty, passed away at home on Nov. 3, 2005 in Kearns, after a valiant and courageous 2 year battle with Cancer. She lived her life as she left us, with honor, courage, beauty and perfect love. She was born March 20, 1945 to George Bradford Bourne and Effie Flowers Bourne in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Graduated from Granite High School in May of 1963. Married her high school sweetheart, Dean Paul Garrett, in the Salt Lake City Temple, for all eternity on July 1, 1964. Dean was the center of Pat's Universe and her cherished companion and she will be waiting patiently for their Eternity Together. Patty had a very full life traveling and creating memories with her husband. Her loves were Dean, spending time with her children, getting down playing with the grandchildren, her siblings, her cats, doing church service, scriptures, genealogy, crafts of all kinds, gardening (everything that comes with it), out door activities especially biking, meeting new people, and helping those in need. Most of all she loved life and all it had to offer. She was loved by all. Many considered themselves as one of her children. If you knew her, she touched your life with kindness, generosity, and above all love. She was truly an angel on earth sent to enlighten and encourage anyone that needed her and she will be greatly missed. Patty's children are very blessed to have had her as a mother. It gave her great pleasure to have one last family outing together at Wolf Creek. She is survived by her husband Dean, and five children, Sharon (Lisa) Haskan, Steve (Cindy) Garrett, Mike (Tina) Garrett, Kim (Skye) Sargent, and Jessica (Hugh) Stock, 13 grandchildren and one great-grandchild; sisters Barbara (Mike) VanRoosendaal, Sheila (Gordy) Harry, and brother Brad (Shelly) Bourne.
