Obituary: Geraldine Ure

Geraldine Ure 1929 ~ 2005 Geraldine Greer Ure, 76, passed away Saturday November 5, 2005 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Gerry was born January 4, 1929 in Heber City, Utah to Carl and Leda Greer. She graduated from Wasatch High and attended the University of Utah, where she was a member of the Delta Gamma Sorority. On March 17, 1950 she married the love of her life, Fred W. Ure, in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was active in the Junior League and a member of the LDS Church. Gerry worked for the University of Utah Special Education Department for many years where she created many special friends. Traveling was very important to Gerry. She has traveled on many cruises to different locations and many special Club Med locations. Gerry loved to shop! She was always looking for a bargain. Her favorite hobby was entertaining her family and friends. She was a perfect hostess. She has accumulated hundreds of photo albums of those occasions. Gerry had a special gift, she was loved by everyone who knew her. So many people have lost their best friend, and we will forever miss her. Private family services will be held. The family wishes to invite you to share in a celebration of Gerry's life, Wednesday, November 9, 2005 from 2-5 p.m. at the Cottonwood Country Club, 1780 East Lakewood Drive (5420 South). In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Gerry's name to the American Lung Association.
