PROVO — More than 6,380 residents in Utah this year will learn they have cancer. For many, getting to the treatment they need may be a problem.
Road to Recovery is a volunteer program that helps patients get to treatment centers and home again. A Road to Recovery volunteer training is scheduled at Utah Valley Regional Medical Center on Monday, Nov. 14, from 2 to 4 p.m. The session will be in the Women's Education Resource Room.
Those interested in becoming a Road to Recovery volunteer need to register by Friday. New volunteers need to bring a valid driver's license and proof of car insurance to the training session.
