Dean Walker Morgan 1920 ~ 2005 LAYTON - Dean Walker Morgan died surrounded by family, Sunday, Nov. 6, 2005 after a short illness. Dean was born December 19, 1920 at the family home in Layton to James H. Morgan and Alice Walker Morgan. He married Helen Robinson Feb. 4, 1942 in the Salt Lake Temple. He was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather and faithful friend. Dean spent his life farming and ranching in Davis and Morgan counties. He was active in the LDS Church and in the community. He served as Elder's Quorum President and was on the town council and Jaycees. Dean in survived by his children: Sheryl Cunningham (Dave), Layton; James A. Morgan (Judy), Layton; Ann Manley (Alan), Orem; LeNora (Weaver) Fred, Fort Collins, CO; Joseph R. Morgan (Debbie), Layton; and Michael D. Morgan (Dana) Stoddard. He is also survived by his sisters; Beth Sandall, Layton; Leah cooper, Layton; Aleene Barkdull, Farmington; Faye Adams (Otis), Layton; and Judy Stevens (DelMar), Layton. He had 29 grandchildren, 69 great-grand children and four great-great-grandchildren. To date the total family of Dean and Helen number 138. He was preceded in death by his wife Helen, two grandsons, Jonathan David Manley and Tyson Morgan Weaver, his parents and three siblings, Dell H. Morgan, Susann Morgan and Glen J. Morgan. Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 10, 2005 at 11 a.m. at Holmes Creek Stake Center, 125 Chapel Street. Friends and family may call Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist's Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road and Thursday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the chapel. Interment, Lindquist's Memorial Park at Layton, 1867 No. Fairfield Road. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Batten Disease Support and Research Association in honor of two grandsons, Tyson Morgan Weaver and Timothy James Weaver.
