Charlie Hardman 1921 ~ 2005 Grandpa Charlie Hardman, 84 of Orem, passed away November 5, 2005 following a short illness. He was born August 24, 1921 in American Fork, Utah to Charles Hardman and Jennie Binns Hardman. He graduated from American Fork High School, and worked on the family farm be fore going into the armed forces in World War II. He married Catherine Meldrum February 14th, 1944. They were later sealed in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple with their children in 1957. He was a master meat cutter. He worked for different businesses prior to opening his own business "Charlies Meat Can't Be Beat" in Orem. He retired at age 73, but not really! - not until six weeks ago. He worked with the Utah County Search and Rescue for 30 years and organized the local Utah Deer Sams. He enjoyed camping, cooking, helping everyone, going to Canyon Lands, and being the best grandpa any kid could ever have. He loved to make ice cream for his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, his son Gaylen (Mary) Hardman, of Lindon; his daughter Charline (Phil) Reid of Salt Lake City; five grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, all siblings and grandson, Dusty Hardman. Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 10th, 2005, at 1 p.m. in the Sharon 3rd Ward Chapel at 445 South 700 East, Orem, Utah. There will be a viewing Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Walker Sanderson Funeral Home at 646 East 800 North, Orem, Utah and from 11:45 to 12:45 at the church, prior to service.
