The University of Utah on Monday will honor 70 seniors from the 2004-05 season — one of the best in Ute history. Four former athletes will also be inducted into Crimson Club Hall of Fame.

The 2005 inductees are women's gymnast Shelly Schaerrer Eaton; men's basketball player Manny Hendrix; women's tennis player Ruth Ann Stevens and football player Erroll Tucker.

Eaton helped the Ute women's gymnastics team win a pair of NCAA Championships during her career from 1989-92.

Hendrix was an excellent basketball player during his four years at Utah, but chose to give pro football a try. He spent seven seasons as a defensive back in the NFL with the Dallas Cowboys and Buffalo Bills.

Stevens played for the Ute women's tennis team from 1989-92. She was named all-conference all four years and won the conference No. 1 doubles championship in 1990. As a senior in 1992 she was named an All-American.

Tucker was a gifted return specialist during his career with the Ute football team. As a senior, he led the nation in both punt and kickoff returns — still the only player in college football history to accomplish that feat.
