Beth Taylor Buchanan Coolican 1918 ~ 2005 Beth Coolican, last surviving child of M. M. and Cora Platt Taylor passed away Thursday, June 9, 2005 of cancer at the age of 86. Beth was born in Salt Lake City, October 2, 1918. She married Kenneth W. Buchanan (deceased). Married Harold K. Coolican (deceased). She was a single parent that raised two wonderful children, David M. Buchanan (deceased) and Dianne. Beth is survived by her daughter Dianne (James) Whimpey; grandchildren, Michael (Janet), Jeff, Scott (Jennifer), Kendall, Shelly (Chris) Weigert, Barclay Butera, and Brendon Butera; great-grandchildren, Dalton, Cameron, Zachary, Avery and Quincy; Ross Henson and Skyler Henson and several nieces and nephews. She was a quiet, unassuming, loving person. She particularly enjoyed watching all sports, reading, solving crossword puzzles and participating in family outings. Private graveside services were held at the Sandy City Cemetery on June 16, 2005. The family would like to express their gratitude to the Cottonwood Hospital ICU Staff for their loving care and concern.
