Real Salt Lake general manager Steve Pastorino announced Monday that the expansion Major League Soccer team has officially placed defender Marlon Rojas, 25, on waivers.
The left-sided defender appeared in seven games for RSL, including six starts.
RSL made the move to free up a roster spot in anticipation of a trade that should be finalized later this week.
Rojas has been a regular with the Trinidad & Tobago National team, even though he didn't see any action in the team's two World Cup qualifying matches earlier this month.
