SALT LAKE ACTING COMPANY, 168 W. 500 North, is holding auditions on Thursday, 1-5 p.m. for the regional premiere of Julia Jordan's "Boy," directed by Kirstie Gulick Rosenfield.

There are roles for three men and two women. Characters include:

— Boy, 18, a mysterious lad who suddenly surfaces in the fragile lives of a family on the brink.

— Mick, 30, who is connected to the Boy through e-mail.

— Terry, mid-50s to early 60s, a therapist who is Mick's father.

— Sarah, late 20s, a college student and Mick's girlfriend.

— Maureen, mid-50s to early 60s, Mick's mother and a college writing instructor.

These auditions are by appointment only (363-0526). All auditioners must be familiar with the play. Excerpts from the script are available for 48-hour checkout at the box office. Both Equity and non-Equity performers may audition. Bring a current photograph and resume.

Rehearsals start Jan. 2 and play dates are Jan. 31-Feb. 26.
