Howard Vander Meyden "Together Again" Howard Vander Meyden passed away peacefully at home on August 20, 2005. He was born December 6, 1921 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Gerrit and Rlettie Boyce. He married Ardell Reid October 13, 1949 in the Salt Lake Temple. She preceded him in death. The loving father of Craig (Rosemary) Vander Meyden, Debra Rigby, Kim (Micki) Vander Meyden, Lance Vander Meyden, Karen Dall and Cynthia Dials. He had a great love and affection for his 18 grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren. He was a member of the LDS Church, served a Mission in Hawaii, served in the U.S. Marines and retired from Tooele Army Depot with many awards. He was a skilled craftsman, loved the outdoors, fishing and hunting. He is survived by his children; grandchildren and great grandchildren; brother, George; sisters, Letty and Margaret. He will be missed by all who knew him. A special thanks to Julie and Demietri from Hospice for their care and love. Gone, yet not forgotten, although we are apart, your spirit lives within us, forever in our hearts. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, August 25, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at the Kearns 16th Ward, 4605 W. Westpoint Drive, West Valley City. The family will receive friends at a viewing Wednesday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Valley View Funeral Home, 4335 West 4100 South, and from 9:30 until 10:45 a.m. on Thursday prior to the service at the Church. Interment: Valley View Memorial Park
