For the second straight game, all nine batters in the Round Rock order had at least one hit as the Express beat the Salt Lake Stingers 6-1 on Tuesday night.
Salt Lake starter Joe Saunders (2-2) gave up five runs on 13 hits in 5 1/3 innings as the Express took three out of four in the series. It was just the sixth losing series for the Stingers out of 28 played this season.
Carlos Hernandez (3-6) got the win for Round Rock, his first since April 30.
Curtis Pride had two hits to lead the Stingers, as he extended his hitting streak to six games, and Brian Specht stretched his streak to 10 games with a single in the second inning.
Salt Lake retains its two-game lead over second-place Tacoma, however, as the Rainiers lost to Omaha 7-1.
The Stingers will have an off day today before opening an eight-game homestand on Thursday against the Memphis Redbirds.
