Lola Mae Richardson Stevens 1933 ~ 2005 KAYSVILLE - Lola Stevens, age 71, loving wife of 52 years, mother, daughter, grandmother and sister passed away Saturday, September 10, 2005. She was born on December 23, 1933 in Klickitat, Washington, to Lester Richardson and Anna Elizabeth Laird. Lola was reared and educated in Washington. She has also lived in Oregon, Alaska, Arizona, and Utah. Lola met Glenn Stevens while living in Washington and they were married on December 26, 1953 in Goldendale, Washington and their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan Temple. They had four children, Shannon, Cindy, David, and Lanae. Lola was a faithful member of the LDS Church, serving in many callings in the Primary, Young Women's organization, and Relief Society. Formerly a member of the North Pointe LDS Ward in Mesa, Arizona. She worked for two years as a temple worker in the Mesa Temple. She loved reading and writing poetry. Lola is survived by her husband, Glenn; daughter, Shannon (Greg) Wright of Bakersfield, California; son, David (Megan) Stevens of Kaysville; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and one sister, Lorraine Mitchell of Salt Lake City and sisters-in-law Edra Richardson and Gail Richardson. She was preceded in death by her parents, two daughters Cindy and Lanae, and two brothers Wendell and Duane Richardson. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 14, 2005 at 11 a.m. at the Brookhaven Chapel, 190 N. Country Lane (200 North 1100 East). Friends and family may call Wednesday from 10 to 10:45 a.m. at the church. Funeral directors, Lindquist's Kaysville Mortuary, 400 North Main. The family wishes to express their appreciation to the many nurses and aides that assisted in Lola's care, especially Robyn Murphy.
