When I-15, in Salt Lake County, was reconstructed and finished just prior to the 2002 Winter Olympic Games, I was hoping that some of the funding would be allotted to better landscaping along the freeway and freeway ramps. To my dismay, the completed landscaping left much to be desired. Actually, calling it landscaping is quite a stretch.
I have traveled widely throughout the country, and I am convinced that we have the ugliest "landscaped" freeway in the nation.
If water is the problem, why not landscape the ramps just as the Draper Riverton exit 291? The landscaping has skillfully and beautifully been done with rocks. And we know that there is no shortage of beautiful and colorful rocks in this state.
