The recent closure of the Salt Creek Road that leads to Angel Arch has once again provoked piteous cries from the OHV community, whose only argument for access to every conceivable destination is that people who are unable to hike can no longer go there.
Is it just me, or is it obvious to everyone that the majority of OHV riders are able-bodied young males who view the world as their own private playground? These abusers of the public domain are more than capable of hiking to the same destinations that they choose to desecrate with their noxious toys. I guess they're not as tough off their machines as on them. (How much testosterone does it really take to twist a throttle?) They are the bullies on the playground and should be made to leave.
