I am so tired of everyone blaming President Bush for the devastation caused by Katrina. Let's put the blame where it belongs. The New Orleans city government told the people they could go to the Super Dome for protection. The people were told to take five days' worth of food and water. The police department knew there would be masses of people in that place. Why didn't they send in some crowd control? Two days after the catastrophe, the Red Cross attempted to deliver food and water but was stopped by Lousiana authorities, who didn't want the people to camp out at the dome for an indefinite period. Many of the people who were sitting on dry asphalt outside of the dome were physically able to walk. Why did they stay there demanding that someone come and help them?
