Sex-abuse suspect is found in Indonesia

PROVO — A Provo man who fled the country after being charged with two cases of felony charges of aggravated sexual abuse of a child was found in Indonesia on Aug. 20 and is being brought back to the United States.

Dwayne Elbert Winn — also known as "Buzz" — had been avoiding police since 1998 when an arrest warrant was issued for a first-degree felony of aggravated sex abuse of a child, according to documents filed in Provo's 4th District Court.

A second warrant was issued in 2001 with $100,000 bail for two counts of aggravated sexual abuse of a child.

Officials, using Social Security records, were able to determine that Winn was living in Indonesia. They also found out that he was receiving direct deposits to a bank in California, according to court documents.
