GARLAND, Box Elder County — Search and rescue crews located the body of a man in a private fishing pond not far from his home Friday.
The man, 31, whose name was not released, had been missing since about 4:30 p.m. Thursday, according to Box Elder County Sheriff's Chief Deputy Lynn Yeates. It appeared that the man had returned from work that day; he left evidence he had been in his home.
Nearly 24 hours later, at 3:30 p.m. Friday, the body was found submerged in the pond south of the family's home in Garland.
The exact cause of death is unknown and details surrounding the incident are under investigation.
