The Salt Lake Art Center, 20 S. West Temple, will host another in its Art Talks series Wednesday evening at 7. University of Utah Press Acquisition Editor Peter DeLaFosse will join labor historian Ron Magden in discussing events surrounding the famous murder trial of the former governor of Idaho, Frank Steunenberg. The Utah Arts Council will hold a town meeting in the Provo City Library, Bullock Room, 550 N. University Avenue on Tuesday at 7 p.m. The public is invited to attend and participate in a discussion of what art is important to the public. There will be a reception immediately following. Salt Lake County will hold a workshop Monday, 3:30-5 p.m. to discuss the transitional 2005 application for all Tier II groups seeking zoo, arts and parks funding. The workshop will take place in the County Council Chambers, Room N1100. The Springville Museum of Art announces a call for entries for its 20th Annual Religious & Spiritual Art of Utah exhibition that will run from Oct. 30- Dec. 28. Artwork must be received at the museum between Oct. 18-22. No entry fee charged. For more information call 489-2727.
