We finally get a Legislature with the guts to spend hundreds of hours and thousands of dollars to come up with a new and fair income tax system and the LDS Church sends in a representative to say they can't support it. Since the church doesn't pay income tax, they don't support it. I give to charities because I believe in them, not for the tax deduction. I didn't buy a house because of the tax deduction. I bought a house because I wanted a place of my own.
Our Legislature needs to do what is best for Utah, not what is best for a few special interest groups.
