Thora Jean Singleton 1921 ~ 2005 Thora Jean Singleton passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side on September 13, 2005 in West Valley City, Utah. She was born on Jan. 10, 1921 in Springville, Utah, the third of 12 children born to Rex LeVar Taylor and Bertha Rebecca Meacham Taylor. She married Doyle R. Singleton on January 19, 1958. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple. Thora had a great love for and was an active member of the LDS Church. Thora and her husband, Doyle, completed a mission in Cove Fort, Utah in 1998. Thora is survived by her four children: Patricia Bliss, Jeff (Maria) Anderson, Valerie Vickers, Theresa (Bart) Pedersen; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren (and one on the way) and one great-great-grandchild (and one on the way); two brothers, Ray Taylor and Robert Taylor; two sisters, Beth Jensen and Myrna Jackson. Thora loved her family and will be greatly missed by them all. She had many interests: travel, sewing, quilting, cooking and if any new craft came along she was ready to try it. Whenever she tried a new recipe or found a bargain, she wanted to share it with everyone. From square dancing to motorcycle riding, she would try it all. What a gal! We would like to give special thanks to our many kind friends and neighbors, Hospice and especially to Thora's caretaker, Destiny McRae. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Family First Home Health & Hospice. "We will shed tears because you are gone and we can smile because you lived."
