Obituary: Betty Rasmussen

Betty Rasmussen 1928 ~ 2005 Betty May Mason Bredesen Rasmussen, age 76, of Springville, passed away September 15, 2005. She was born December 16, 1928, in Springville, Utah to Albert Earl Mason and Sarah Ann Jones Mason. She was married to Arnold Bredesen on January 11, 1950. He preceded her in death and she was later married to Kay N. Rasmussen on October 3, 1974. Betty was a devoted wife and mother. She was a loving grandmother, sister and friend. Betty served in the primary as both a teacher and the president. She was a devoted visiting teacher and she served as a visiting teaching supervisor until shortly before her passing. Betty is survived by her loving husband, Kay N. Rasmussen, and their daughters: Kathleen (Morris) Nelson of Provo; Jan Allen of South Jordan; Patricia (Roger) Sumsion of Springville; Katie (Neil) Jeppson of Saratoga Springs; Diane (Barry) Walker of Kamas and Denise (Mike) Kelly of West Jordan; 28 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren; three sisters: Mildred Bolinder of Salt Lake; Martha (Loyd) Barker of Springville; Della (Vern) Thornton of Orem, and many beloved nieces and nephews. We would like to express our appreciation to Legacy House of Taylorsville, 1st Choice Homehealth of Utah and Salt Lake Counties, and Hospice; especially MiLinda Hudnall. She loved her nurses. Funeral Services will be held Monday, September 19, 2005 at 1 p.m. in the Hobble Creek West Stake Center located at 555 South 600 East in Springville. Friends may call Sunday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Wheeler Mortuary, 211 East 200 South, Springville or at the church from 11:30-12:30 prior the funeral service.
