Then and now: Salt Lake City

1860 vs. 2005 — One of the first post offices in downtown Salt Lake City resided on the west side of Main Street, between South Temple and 100 South — site of today's Crossroads Plaza. The Livingston and Bell Company was housed next door. Today, other than the small Pioneer Post Office in the ZCMI Center, a downtown branch — shown in the modern photo — is located at 230 W. 200 South. The Main Salt Lake city Post Office is now found at 1760 W. 2100 South.
