Obituary: Jodi Diane Grossarth

Jodi Diane Grossarth 8/9/77 ~ 9/16/05 Our baby sister, Jodi Diane Grossarth, passed away September 16, 2005 in her sleep in Bountiful, Utah. Jodi was born in Portland, Oregon on August 9, 1977, the youngest of six children to Galen W. and Barbara Ann Nisbet Grossarth. She was raised in Beaverton, OR. She moved to Bountiful in 1994. She graduated from Woods Cross High School in 1996 and earned an associate degree from Salt Lake Community College in 1999. Jodi worked in the telecom industry for many years for various companies, most recently for Qwest. Jodi was the "favorite aunt" to seven nieces and two nephews and spoiled them with movies, and trips to the arcade and the mall. Jodi had a kind and giving heart and was quick to help someone in need. In death, she serves others by being a skin, bone and tissue donor. Jodi was a member of the LDS church and attended the 55th Ward in Bountiful. Most recently she had been considering returning to college to pursue a degree in crime scene analysis. Jodi is survived by brother, David (Deadea) Grossarth of Buckeye, AZ; sisters, Vicky (Todd) Lowder of Salida, CA; Nancy (Jay) Jordan of Bountiful, UT; and Julie (Dave) Carattini of Avondale, AZ; grandmother Beryl Nisbet of Bountiful, UT, who had graciously opened her home to Jodi for the past four months; nieces and nephews, Lindsey Alberts, Taylor Grossarth, Allison, Janelle, Hayley and Holly Lowder, Alex and Andrew Jordan, and Bryn Carattini. She is also survived by her stepmother, Connie Grossarth of Buckeye, AZ and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Jodi was preceded in death by both parents, her older brother, Steven W. Grossarth, and three grandparents. Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 22, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at the Bountiful 55th Ward Chapel, 2285 South 200 West. Friends and family may call Wednesday evening from 6 - 8 p.m. at the Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 North Main and Thursday morning from 9:45 - 10:45 a.m. at the church prior to services.
