Humans in need of home, too

I applaud the move by various animal societies in Utah and around the country to care for animals and applaud the step taken by Utah Animal Society to help homeless pets in Hurricane Katrina that ravaged Louisiana and surrounding cities.

However, I personally find one of their slogans, "No more homeless pets in Utah," to be paradoxical. We have more homeless humans on the street than there are pets. It would make more sense if the slogan read "No more homeless people and pets in Utah."
