KEARNS — An accident involving a motorcycle left a man critically injured Tuesday.
Around 8 p.m., a Salt Lake County Sheriff's deputy witnessed a motorcycle coming around a corner near 4000 West and 5800 South, when it began to slide out from under the rider, said Lt. Chris Bertram. He said the driver seemed to have taken the turn too wide, which caused him to hit the curb and wreck.
Police say the man is in his mid-30s but they have not released a name. The driver was not wearing a helmet and suffered serious head injuries. He was flown to the University of Utah Medical Center in extremely critical condition, Bertram said.
