Top picker guesses 9 of 10 winners

Ninety percent was the best anyone could muster in the Utah County Grid Picks contest for last week. Three entrants correctly picked the winners of nine of the 10 high school football games in the contest.

Provo's defeat of Orem was the most frequently missed game.

The deadline to enter this week's contest is noon Friday, online at deseretnews.com/utahcounty. The seven best prognosticators win Deseret Morning News Grid Picks T-shirts.

This week's games are American Fork at Spanish Fork, Pleasant Grove at Timpanogos, Orem at Springville, Provo at Payson, Timpview at Lehi, Lone Peak at Mountain View, Union at Wasatch, Juab at South Summit, Delta at Carbon, and North Sanpete at Granite. The Bruins/Knights game is designated as the tie-breaker, where entrants guess the game's final score.

Last week's winners are: Jan Rostron, Ephraim, Sanpete County; Mike Skogerboe, Salt Lake City; Courtney Gressmen, Midway, Wasatch County; Wade Gee, Nephi; Mont Wade, Heber City; Curtis Ware, Grantsville; and Randy Farnsworth, American Fork.
