So NASA wants to spend billions upon billions to send a man to the moon sometime around 2018. Not wanting to be thought of as an anti-progress Luddite, I wonder what meaningful result is expected other than a way to buck up our sagging international prestige?
Is our scientific knowledge of the moon so meager and collection of rocks so few that we need someone buggying around?
Do we need a federally funded exotic destination for connected politicians or wealthy tourists?
Rather than spending billions more into debt, Libertarians would simply have a big yard sale.
