BYU

FOOTBALL: Due to scheduling complications, ESPN has announced it will be unable to broadcast BYU's game at San Diego State on Oct. 1 on ESPN Classic.

As a result, the game will be broadcast live by SportsWest on KSL-TV in Salt Lake City and on Channel 4 in San Diego. The game will be available on pay-per-view via ESPN's GamePlan and on ESPN GamePlan Online. In addition, the game will be broadcast live on the Church Satellite System.

Utah

SOCCER: Utah will join millions of Americans in celebrating September as Youth Soccer Month this Sunday when it hosts No. 9 California at 1 p.m. at Ute Field. Tickets are available in advance at www.UtahTickets.com or (801) 581-UTIX. Youth Soccer Month web decoder cards, rally towels, T-shirts, wristbands and a U.S. Youth Soccer stool will be given away at the game. Fans can use the web decoder cards to claim prizes on the youthsoccermonth.org Web site. Sack packs, shoe bags and soccer balls are some of the prizes available.

Westminster

VOLLEYBALL: Bree Reit, a sophomore from Mount Pleasant, was named the libero of the week in the Frontier Conference. She had 36 digs and four service aces in Westminster College's 3-1 win over the University of Montana, Western. Monica Shorts, a freshman from Price, was named setter of the week. She had 49 assists, 11 digs a service ace and two kills in the win over Western.

Utah State

VOLLEYBALL: Senior Erin Graybill tied her career-high with 14 kills and hit a blistering .545 to lead USU to a three-game win (30-24, 30-27, 30-21) against New Mexico State in Logan Thursday night in its first-ever match in the Western Athletic Conference. USU improved to 8-6 overall and 1-0 in league play.
