Utahns, speak up! You know the importance of wild lands, so please work to spare the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge from oil drilling. I spent a month in the refuge this summer climbing mountains, and I'm convinced that instead of drilling we should find other ways to conserve oil, use alternative energy sources, and work to protect the national treasure of that arctic landscape.
Living in Utah, we know that the United States was formed in contact with wilderness, and future generations will either curse us for despoiling this Arctic Refuge or respect us for our restraint.
