Nineteen-year-old Eric Murakami, left, discusses the creation of a bonsai with Ken Yamane during the Aki Matsuri (fall festival) at the Japanese Church of Christ. Yamane has been creating bonsai since he was 13 years old and has more than 100 at his home. His oldest is a Utah juniper that is approximately 500 years old. Sugarhouse Park will have a bonsai show from noon to 5 p.m. today. More than 100 bonsai exhibitors are expected at the festival.
