Merril "Dee" Jensen 1923 ~ 2005 25 Sept. 2005 Dee died at home after a long series of strokes. Born in Fairview, Utah to Heber and Florence Jensen 4 Oct. 1923. He was the seventh of nine children. Married Lynne Mower 25 Nov. 1949 in Ely, NV. Solemnized in the Provo Temple 14, July 1993. Served honorably as a 2C in the Navy, July 1941- Dec. 1945, in the South Pacific, as a radioman and tailgunner. Father of Gary Dee, Janet Elezabeth and Ruth Lynne (Tom) Clyde. Worked in Salt Lake City at Eitel-McCullough, Tooele Army Depot and Dugway Proving Grounds in security division for 33 years. Built a home on Johnsons Pass, loved it there. Favorite things in life were family, friends, home, camping, fishing and hunting. Preceded in death by parents, siblings Duane, Nellie, Pearl, Ned, Ethyl and Colleen. Survived by wife, children, 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, brother Lionel, sisters Winona and Flora. Funeral services will be held Friday September 30, 2005 in the Fairview South Ward Chapel (State Street) at 11 a.m. A viewing will be held Thursday September 29, 2005 from 6-8 at Rasmussen Mortuary in Mt. Pleasant. Interment will be in the Fairview City Cemetery.
