Mayor Rocky Anderson acts as if we have a Third World social life simply because some laws and policies seem to cramp his style. The recent revelation that he spent city money on alcohol was explained away, by him, as a necessity to build up the image of Salt Lake City. Clearly he is implying that those of us who don't drink alcohol have no concept of a good time. He believes he can ignore laws and rules with which he disagrees. Maybe the next time I come to Salt Lake City I can ignore the parking meters, refuse to put money in them and not pay the ticket simply because I disagree with that law. We'll see how well the judge buys that excuse.
