Obituary: Doris H. Oakeson

Doris H. Oakeson Devoted Mother and Grandmother 1926 ~ 2005 Doris Hebdon Oakeson passed away September 1, 2005, of natural causes in Salt Lake City. She was born March 10, 1926, in Glendale, Idaho to Edward Eardley Hebdon and Ellen May Auger. She married Leonard Francis Oakeson on Sept. 9, 1946, in Salt Lake City. He passed away Oct. 17, 1973. Doris was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, she has been a resident of South Jordan for 60 years and was retired from the U.S. Postal Service. Survived by her sons, Rallo (Donna), Vance (Judy), Morris, and Sheldon (Vicki); 22 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren. Also survived by her brothers, Keith, Harold and Floyd Hebdon; and sisters, Velma Forman, Delsa McCracken, and Hazel Hansen. Preceded in death by her husband; parents; son, Richard; one sister; and three brothers. A special thanks to her son, Morris, for his loving care of her daily needs. Funeral services will be held Wed. Sept. 7, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. Jenkins-Soffe South Valley Chapel 1007 W. So. Jordan Pkwy (10600 So.) Friends may call Tues. from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m.
