Darlene Kopp Ragsdale 11/19/32 ~ 9/6/05 Darlene Kopp Ragsdale, 72, died September 6, 2005, in Salt Lake City. Born November 19, 1932 in Provo, Utah, a daughter of Albert and Crilla Grange Kopp. Darlene was educated in the Provo City Schools and attended BYU where she met her eternal companion, Donald F. Ragsdale in 1951. They were married in the Salt Lake LDS Temple March 20, 1953. Darlene was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving in many positions including Relief Society secretary, counselor, and president. She had a great love for genealogy and invested hours at the Family History Library searching for her ancestors. She was a loving, dedicated, devoted and supportive wife, mother, and grandmother. She believed that was her first priority. She made special efforts to create lasting traditions and memories for her family. Darlene was also a steadfast and loyal friend. She is survived by husband, Don; sons, Scott (Saundra), Sandy, Utah; Grant (Katherine), Eagle, Idaho; and Russell (Debbie), Sandy, Utah; grandchildren, Josh, Sam, Lauren, Clark and Camille; three step-grandchildren, one step-great-granddaughter, and a sister, Karen Jacobsen, (Robert), Orem, Utah. Preceded in death by parents; and a brother, Gary Max Kopp. Funeral services Friday, Sept. 9, 2005, 2 p.m., Larkin Sunset Gardens Mortuary, 1950 E. 10600 So., Sandy, where friends and family may call on Thursday 6-8 p.m. and on Friday 12:45 - 1:45 p.m. prior to the services. Interment Larkin Sunset Gardens. Appreciation is extended to CNS (Community Nursing Service) with special note to Debbie, Barbara and Vivian for your tender loving care.
