Betty Jensen Duncan 1915 ~ 2005 Betty Jensen Duncan, age 90, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 7, 2005. She was born March 13, 1915 to Victor and Bessie Brooks Jensen in Salt Lake City, Utah. She joins her husband Frank R. Duncan who preceded her in death in 2000 after 63 years of marriage. Betty graduated from the University of Utah where she was the president of Delta Gamma Sorority. She worked at her father's jewelry store, Jensen Jewelry, and during the war she worked at Fort Douglas. Her favorite thing in the world was golfing and she and her husband Frank played nearly every day for many years before turning her attention to being a mom. She continued to love to play golf and it was one of the things she remembered throughout her life. She is survived by her daughter Joan Flowers (Mike) and son Scott J. Duncan (Cathy). She has eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her brothers Don and Jack Jensen and one grandchild Brett Duncan. In addition to her family, for the last four years of her life Betty was fortunate to have a companion, Linda McNitt, who lovingly cared for her everyday. The family would like to thank the staff of Alta Ridge Alzheimer's Community for their companionate care during the last two and a half years. Private services will be held at a later date.
