Obituary: George M. Kendall

George M. Kendall 1918 ~ 2005 George Maurice Kendall, age 87, of Salt Lake City, Utah, died Sunday, September 4, 2005. He was born August 25, 1918 in Nephi, Utah, the son of William Harry "Henry" Kendall and Sarah (Hawkins) Kendall. He married Alice May Jackson, April 10, 1943 in Minneapolis, MN. Marriage later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II for four years. George retired from Milne Trucking Company at the age of 62. He enjoyed gardening and working in his yard. He had a love for sports, especially BYU. He was a very devoted husband and father and took special care of his son, Randy. He is survived by his wife Alice, daughters; Deborah (Dave) Michaelis, Linda (Boyd) Reschke and son Randy G. Kendall. He had nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. also survived by his sister Mildred Clark. Preceded in death by his parents, three sisters and two brothers. Funeral services will be Saturday, September 10, 2005 at 11:00 AM at the Canyon Rim Stake Center, 3051 South 2900 East, where friends may visit with the family 9:30 to 10:45 am prior to services.
