'Animal Farm' alive in schools

We all know George Orwell's classic novel "Animal Farm." What we don't know is this exact story is playing out in the real world in our schools. Instead of animals as leaders, student officers are our political pigs and the rest of the students are expected followers. Any normal student would be punished for leaving class early or going on a long lunch, but officers at Layton High do it all the time because they can be excused as "student government business." Most of the time it is for selfish reasons or something that could be done at another time. I'm sorry, but this is one student who can't swallow anymore injustice and feels the madness should stop.
