Alfred L. Schwanebeck 1919 ~ 2006 Alfred L. Schwanebeck, 86, passed away January 4, 2006 in Salt Lake City, UT. He was born April 12, 1919 in Savannah, GA. To parents William Lewis Schwanebeck and Catherine Gnann Schwanebeck. He graduated from Armstrong Junior College in Savannah, GA. He married Anne Brent Rutledge September 9, 1943 in Topeka, KS. He was a member of the Episcopal church. He was an Office Manager/Secretary - Treasurer of the Freed Motor Company from 1945 until his Retirement in 1984, Navigator for the U.S. Army Air Corps in World War II, as well as the Air Force Reserve until 1958. He was an Avid Golfer, also enjoyed playing bridge with his many friends. He was also a longtime Crimson club supporter and University of Utah Football Season ticket holder (not BYU!). He is survived by his children, Nancy (Robert) Barnes of Grapevine Tx. And Paul (Elaine) Schwanbeck of Midvale, Ut.; two grandchildren, Angela (Robert) Lilyquist of N. Salt Lake, and Melissa (David) Stewart of Tooele; as well as step-grandchildren, Michael (Angela) Petrogeorge, Salt Lake and JoAnne (Joni) (Nick) Clark, SLC; as well as 10 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his wife, Anne; and a son, Alfred R. Schwanebeck. Services will be Monday Jan. 9th at 12 p.m. noon at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 261 South 900 East.
