Josephine Brimhall Johns 1914 ~ 2006 Josephine Brimhall Johns, 91, passed away on January 8, 2006, in American Fork, Utah. Josephine was born May 13, 1914, in Springville, Utah, the eldest child of Delbert C. and Martha Reynolds Brimhall. She married Blair G Johns, June 21, 1937, in the Salt Lake Temple. They had four children, Loretta, Richard, Robert and Carol. She lived in Encino, California, Clover Valley, Nevada and Utah. She attended LDS Business College prior to serving a mission to what was then the California Mission. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, holding many callings and positions in the stake and ward Primary organization and Relief Society. She loved playing the piano and organ. Throughout her life her hands were busy sewing, knitting, crocheting and doing needlepoint. She was never without a project. Her crocheted afghans and elaborate Christmas stockings were the talk of all who lovingly received these precious gifts. She was the crossword puzzle queen and also loved to read and work in her flower garden. She was a talented cook and made the best lemon pies in the world. As a grandmother, she was always delighted to receive visits from and spend time with her grandchildren. Her grandchildren loved the look of excitement on her face when they arrived, and always enjoyed spending time with her. Josephine carried herself with poise and dignity throughout her life. She was always gracious even in the most adverse circumstances. Our mom worked hard her entire life and set a good example for us to live by. She is survived by three children: Loretta (Clyde) Roper, Alpine, Utah; Richard (Jeneil) Johns, Spanish Fork, Utah; and Robert (Tookie) Johns, Carson City, Nevada; 13 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings, husband, Blair, daughter, Carol and grandson, Brian Johns. The family would like to thank her care giver, Dorthy and the Hearts for Hospice CNA's and Lori Luke RN for their comfort, care and service. Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 14, 2006, at 11 a.m. in the Walker Sanderson Funeral Home, 646 East 800 North, Orem. Family and friends may call Friday evening from 6-8 p.m. in the Funeral Home and on Saturday from 9:45-10:45 a.m. Interment will be held in the Orem City Cemetery.
