Was: 1. Last week: 2-0. Outlook: The Rams needed a heroic 3-pointer by Travis Tucker to hold off Olympus' upset bid and remain unbeaten. Perhaps the Rams won't roll through Region 6 as originally thought. Next up: at Murray, today.

2. Davis (11-1) Class: 5A

Was: 2. Last week: 2-0. Outlook: Like No. 1 Highland, the Darts also needed a buzzer-beating 3-pointer by Brian Green to foil Northridge's upset bid. Next up: at Clearfield, today.

3. Riverton (11-1) Class: 5A

Was: 3. Last week: 1-0. Outlook: It should be a pretty easy week this week for the 'Wolves with Hunter and Copper Hills on tap. Next up: at Hunter, today.

4. Alta (10-2) Class: 5A

Was: 4. Last week: 1-0. Outlook: The red-hot Hawks are on a seven-game winning streak as region play gets under way. Next up: vs. Jordan, Friday.

5. Hillcrest (11-1) Class: 5A

Was: 5. Last week: 2-0. Outlook: The Huskies just keep finding ways to win games as evidenced by two narrow victories last week, including a double-overtime win over West Jordan. Next up: at Taylorsville, Friday.

6. Provo (9-2) Class: 4A

Was: 6. Last week: 1-0. Outlook: Bulldogs' nine-game winning streak faces a serious test this week when they host Orem. Next up: vs. Orem, Friday.

7. Bingham (7-5) Class: 5A

Was: 8. Last week: 1-0. Outlook: The Miners definitely exhibited some frustration over their so-so preseason by beating Copper Hills by 45 points last Friday. Next up: at Kearns, today.

8. Orem (8-4) Class: 4A

Was: 13. Last week: 1-0. Outlook: The Tigers opened Region 7 action last week with a very impressive overtime victory over Timpview. Next up: at Provo, Friday.

9. Judge (13-1) Class: 3A

Was: 9. Last week: 2-0. Outlook: Even without Marcus Walisky, the Bulldogs find a way to keep piling up the victories. Next up: vs. Park City, Friday.

10. Timpview (9-3) Class: 4A

Was: 7. Last week: 0-1. Outlook: The T-Birds know that many more region games like the one against Orem last week are surely in store. Next up: vs. Lehi, Friday.

11. Bountiful (7-5) Class: 4A

Was: 10. Last week: 1-1. Outlook: As the Braves found out last week with a win over Woods Cross and a loss to Mountain Crest, the race for the Region 5 title is going to be very, very tight. Next up: at Sky View, Wednesday.

12. Bonneville (10-2) Class: 4A

Was: 11. Last week: 1-0. Outlook: The Lakers only played one game last week, but it was a big one as they handed Mountain Crest its first region loss. Next up: at Woods Cross, Wednesday.

13. Olympus (8-3) Class: 4A

Was: 12. Last week: 1-1. Outlook: The Titans had No. 1 Highland on the ropes last week, but they squandered a 10-point second half lead and will now have to wait until Feb. 10 for the rematch. Next up: vs. West, Tuesday.

14. Northridge (6-5) Class: 5A

Was: 14. Last week: 1-1. Outlook: By narrowly losing to Davis last week, the Knights proved that the Region 1 title chase isn't a one-horse race. Next up: at Weber, today.

15. Mtn. Crest (9-3) Class: 4A

Was: 16. Last week: 1-1. Outlook: By falling on the road to Bonneville, the Mustangs missed out on an opportunity to seize early control of the Region 5 region race. Next up: vs. Woods Cross, Friday.

16. Skyline (7-4) Class: 5A

Was: —. Last week: 2-0. Outlook: Since falling to Kearns in overtime just before the Christmas break, the Eagles have reeled off five-straight victories. Next up: at Brighton, Friday.

17. Dixie (12-2) Class: 3A

Was: 19. Last week: 2-0. Outlook: A fantastic week by Paul Hogue last week helped the Flyers continue their march through Class 3A competition. Next up: at Canyon View, Wednesday.

18. Am. Fork (6-6) Class: 5A

Was: —. Last week: 1-0. Outlook: Despite a mediocre preseason, the Cavemen opened up Region 4 play last week with a nice victory over Spanish Fork. Next up: vs. Pleasant Grove, Wednesday.

19. Sp. Fork (9-4) Class: 5A

Was: —. Last week: 1-1. Outlook: Despite losing to American Fork, the Dons recorded an impressive victory over Lone Peak last week and should definitely be a factor in the Region 4 race. Next up: vs. Timpanogos, Wednesday.

20. West Jordan (7-5) Class: 5A

Was: —. Last week: 1-1. Outlook: The Jaguars face a serious test against Bingham this Friday. Next up: at Copper Hills, today.
